The cost is $5 per child. Please drop the money
off in an envelope, marked with the names of the children, through the mail
slot in my front door. That's 57 Grange Street.
Andrea,
Milka, Lisa, Jane, Ellen, Susan
and I have stuffed enough eggs to accommodate 85 children. I have now
received envelopes for 97 children.

Hello,
We are looking forward to the
6th annual egg hunt in St. George's Park. This is a non-profit event
intended to provide some fun for the kids and give us an opportunity to get
together as neighbours. Last year there were 85 kids and 680 eggs!
There was a bit of extra money to rent an Easter Bunny costume (which was a
big hit thanks to Graham Kennedy!). This event is lots of fun and we look forward to seeing you all
again this year.
I need your help
This event gets bigger
every year and there have been wonderful neighbours pitching in all along
but we need more help to stuff the eggs, hide them in the park and, of
course, someone needs to be the bunny (got a teen?)
Tragically, no volunteer means no bunny.
We will be stuffing the
eggs on the evening of Monday, March 29th at my place. 7pm until 9pm.
I'd love it if you could come by and help. On Friday, April 2nd we
need volunteers to hide the eggs in the park at 9:30am.
If you are interested in volunteering
to help stuff the eggs, or hide them in the park, or be the bunny, your help would be
most
welcome.
You can contact me at
yoga@sentex.ca
Please
spread the word to new neighbours. This will give them the chance to
feel connected to the community.
Here is some basic info about the big
event:
It will take place at
10am on Good Friday (so we should all have the day off) with a weather delay
scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd at 10am. Please don't be late, the hunt
doesn't last very long and we wouldn't want your kids to miss it.
The cost is $5 per child for 8 large
eggs filled with 2 or 3 items each. Any candy will be store wrapped
for sanitary reasons. There will be no hard candy or gum. There
will be stickers and other small toys.
Children must be accompanied by an
adult. We know that each child won't end up with 8 eggs exactly, but
try to make sure your child doesn't take too many. This year we are
going to have a toddler section?
You can drop the money
off in an envelope, marked with the names of the children, through the mail
slot in my front door. That's 57 Grange Street.
Please let me know as
soon as possible if you will be joining in. I will be doing most of the
shopping on Saturday, March 20th.
Make sure to bring a basket for your
kids to collect the eggs in.
