Manual includes Yoga History, Basic Philosophy, Physical Benefits of Yoga, Safely Dealing with Common Physical Limitations, Anatomy, Intro to Sequencing and Choreography, Intro to Meditation, Intro to Pranayama and over 100 Asanas suitable for Beginner to Intermediate students with many variations and detailed descriptions. Choose any of the following dates (remember it's just 2 weekends for Level I) From 9:00am to 5pm on Saturday and 10:00am to 5pm on Sunday Cost = $250 + $32.50 HST per weekend (that's $565 total with tax) -April 17th & 18th and April 24th and 25th 2010 (FULL) or -September 11th & 12th and September 18th and 19th 2010 or -January 15th & 16th and January 22nd & 23rd 2011 or -April 2nd & 3rd and April 9th & 10th 2011 Level II: 2 Weekends - Prerequisite Level 1 and must have 20 hours of yoga teaching experience. (private classes with friends and/or family is acceptable) Course includes a comprehensive manual on Safely Guiding Your Students Using Hands On Corrections. On the final day there will be a written and practical exam on the material covered in the Level I Manual. Deepen your certification and be recognized by the Yoga Alliance as a prestigious RYT 200. This is also available as a two week summer retreat (see below for details) At Maha Pura there are NO HIDDEN FEES. You do not have to pay for costly study materials or manuals. You do not have to pay for costly mentorship with me at my studio (all the contact hours you need are provided during the course! No extra time needed at the studio!) Going Deeper- More Challenging Asanas and Using PNF To Increase Flexibility - January 8th and 9th 2011 Sanskrit Pronunciation 101 and Transformation Through Meditation & Visualization - February 5th and 6th 2011 How To Teach Children: Playful Practices - April 30th and May 1st 2011 Chakras, Koshas, Mudras and Bandhas and Philosophy in Action: Yoga off the Mat - May 14th and 15th 2011 Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga - June 4th and 5th 2011 Pranayama: The Path to Peace Cost = $250 + $32.50 HST per weekend. (that's $2,260 total including tax - pay per weekend $282.50) Receive a 5% discount (only $1,900 + HST) if program is paid in full by August 20th, 2010! That's $2147. You must complete all 8 weekends to receive your Advanced Teacher Training Certification. This will become available as a two week intensive lakeside teacher training retreat in Summer 2011 in Southern Ontario. Retreat prices and details Level I = $565 with tax, Level II = $565 with tax and The Advanced Training (or Level III) costs $2147 with tax. For the Level III 2 week retreat you can expect to add $70 per day for food and accommodation ($980). All the details have not been clearly forged in stone yet......here is what I'm aiming for. * Catered Vegetarian lunch and dinner, casual breakfast- you may be asked to bring a few boxes of your favourite cereal, however fruit and yogurt etc. will be provided for the taking. * Southern Ontario Lakefront Cottage.
