How to Flow From Parivrtta Surya Yantrasana
to Astavakrasana
After over a decade of continuous
study and experience, the Yoga Alliance has graced me with the
highest honour of E-RYT
500.
I have been blessed to
study personally with Rodney and Colleen Yee in '08, '09, '11 and '12,

Also twice with the amazing
Dharma Mittra

inspirational Seane Corn, knowledgeable Dr. Ray Long, soulful Natasha Rizopoulos
and deep Danny Paradise

Again with Seane, the Spiritual Nichela Joy Devi,
and most recently with Ashtanga Master David Swenson

These intensive sessions
have been transformational and always deepened
my love and appreciation for
the art and science of yoga.
After extensive study with a
wide variety of master teachers, and over 13 years of experience, I launched
Maha Pura's Teacher Training
Program as the director of Maha Pura Yoga and wrote 12 Comprehensive
Manuals that have received
such an amazingly positive response it is completely humbling. Maha
Pura's first
video: Strengthen and
Lengthen sold out and will soon be available as a download along
with a host of
other videos now in the making.
Of course,
I still deeply enjoy
teaching yoga to every level of student
from beginner to advanced at
the studio.
My anatomy studies have gone well beyond
the advanced
anatomy certification requirements.
Coming from a medical family, I understand the importance
of continually striving to deepen my knowledge on this subject.
The science behind the
workings of our bodies, combined with traditional wisdom, defines my
approach
to yoga.
I have studied a multitude of different
styles and approaches to the art of
yoga (even some Thai
Massage Training), learning valuable
insights from each approach but, do not
adhere strictly to any one school of
yoga.
Studying meditation with Sri Sri Ravi
Shankar

and Prahlada was also life changing and
Lilias Folan's wisdom and generous spirit
touched me deeply.
For Pilates, I was
blessed to spend time training with Mari Winsor (Winsor Pilates!)
whose humour and
passion infuses everything she teaches. Maintaining a strong core is
important!
