How To Prepare For Your 1st Yoga Class

The short answer is just show up in comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement.

This is enough

You do not need to be flexible, you do not need to be thin, you do not have to be full of energy.  Just come and try it, you will be glad you did.  The following tips will help you have an enjoyable experience:

1.  Bring a yoga mat or large towel  (I sell high quality mats if you would like to purchase one from me Click here for details) and I also have a few extras on hand that you may be able to borrow.

2.  Bring a water bottle, especially to the Chocolate Yoga or Hot Yoga classes.

3.  We practice in bare feet so there's no need to worry about footwear.

4.  It is most ideal to practice yoga on an empty stomach.  It is best not to eat 1 to 2 hours or longer before a yoga class.  This is not always possible in our busy world.  If you strive for absolute perfection there may never be a perfect time to come.  If you are coming to a Chocolate Yoga class, the small amount of Chocolate I serve will not interfere with your ability to have an enjoyable and healthy Yoga experience.  Of course, the chocolate is optional and you are welcome to decline the treat.

5.  If you have any conditions, or areas of discomfort in your body, please let me know.  I can help you modify poses to suit your body and it's needs.

6.    I do not burn incense or scented candles and I strive to create a positive atmosphere.

For Hot Yoga classes please wear light clothes and bring a mat, towel, large water bottle and a change of clothes.  You will sweat!

I look forward to seeing you!
